THETFORD MINES, THE 30 MARS 2021. The Société de développement économique de la région de Thetford (SDE) wishes to acknowledge its contribution to the succession project of Prestige Roy Pools. Already working for several years with his father, having developed his passion with him, Mr. Kéven Roy takes over the company working in the field of installation and repair of in-ground and above ground pools. Prestige Roy Pools Inc. also offers pool opening and closing service. Mr. Kéven Roy is currently benefiting from the support to self-employment (STA) program. This project is made possible by the financial contribution of the Quebec government.

New market to be developed
Mr. Roy's goal is to grow his business by adding decorative concrete design to his service card. Thus, in preparation for the succession of his father's company, he trained as a cement-applicator (DVS) and worked in this field for a few years. This baggage will allow him to develop this new complementary market to that of the installation of swimming pools. This way, the company will be able to offer sublime backyards customized to the taste of its customers. Complementary concrete products will also be offered.

To help him during the active period, Mr. Roy plans to hire two more full-time employees, in addition to his father who will also be present as a mentor for the first year. Mr. Roy's wife will be handling accounting for the business.
